This Wednesday, the luncheon meeting of RCFC at the Lincoln Center welcomes Dr. Carmen L. Menoni, a University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Colorado State University. Following her intro by Ralph Smith, she will speak on an exciting new facility being planned on the Foothills Campus of Colorado State University. It is a public-private partnership between the University and a state-of-the-art European company, and is designed to bring the power of ultrahigh intensity lasers to the prospect of fusion energy. Completion of this facility will put the University at the forefront of an exciting new area of energy development, and provide jobs, undergraduate and graduate student training. Also, this project will ensure that CSU faculty will have the resources to conduct world-class research and development.
