Feb 03, 2021 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM
Fellowship will start immediately after Noon meeting with same Zoom link. Please email Bill Timpson for details.
This Fellowship is open to all. We usually focus our discussions on the monthly Peacebuilder Newsletter that is sent out in advance and posted on District 5440’s website. For example, in our July 2020 issue we looked at the COVID-19 pandemic and how the skills of peacebuilding could help, e.g., improved communication and cooperation, critical and creative thinking. We looked at past pandemics and what worked, how restorative principles could help us honor the front line health workers who always put themselves at risk by responding, how the notion of discovery can challenge old ways of thinking and lead to new insights, how leadership and the qualities that are most needed especially during a crisis, and how changing the language of “war on this pandemic” does not work when we are still searching for clues and what we most need are ways to “wage peace” to best protect our citizens.
