Makiah Pritchard, senior at Wellington Middle High School, was our student of the month for April. Her guests were her parents: Delores and Christopher Pritchard. Do you like horses? Whether they dash together in a herd across fields or whether one trots over to you by a fence on a farm, they’re presence can fill us with a sense of awe. If we appreciate our horses in Northern Colorado, we like them even more to be happy and healthy. To this end, every few weeks, a specialist will come out to play a key role in their health. They are called farriers. Put simply, a farrier is a specialist in equine hoof care, a cobbler, a craftsman, a horseshoer.
