Sonny Lubick - July 14th - Noon at Lincoln Center
The State of Collegiate Athletics in a Name, Image and Likeness World.This Wednesday we meet in person at the Lincoln Center and our guest speaker is one of the greatest football coaches in Colorado State University’s history, Sonny Lubick. He will speak on the collegiate sports issues including NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) and college athlete’s ability to enter into endorsement contracts for money. Last week we saw an inspiring example of Rotary's "return on investment" in education. Luciana (Luci) Storelli Castro's presentation was entitled "What Rotary Taught Me:Celebrating 20 Years of Rotary".
Th 2021 Fort Collins Peach Festival will be at the Holiday Twin Drive-In on August 21st. No volunteers are needed this year with the new format, but please attend for a fun evening! Peachy bands, beer, and more. Details and tickets...
The Rotary Club of Fort Collins (RCFC) plans to award financial grants to deserving 501(c)(3) non-profit service organizations located in the Fort Collins area.
The Community Service Committee kicks off the new Rotary year with planning meeting at Maxline Brewing. All members are welcome to attend. The meeting will be at Noon on July 13th (a Tuesday). Please contact Jon Land for details.
It was a great week for Rotary. We had an outstanding presentation by Luciana, “What Rotary Taught Me” at our lunch meeting. (Recap & Video). Then Kelly led planning discussion during our evening meeting at Lirano wine bar. Awesome job Kelly! Congrats to Andrew, Kerrie, and Steve Kane; they were honored with Paul Harris Fellow Recognitions during the meeting. Thursday, we had a incredibly fun social at Larry and Sharyn's house, thanks for hosting! (pictures). Finally, on Saturday, our newest members led a successful cleanup at Rotary Park. (pictures).
