For the fifth Friday in July, our normal noon lunch meeting was replaced by an early evening social event at Avogadro's Number. The weather was remarkably cooperative and the organization by Sue Wagner and Judy Boggs was excellent. Entertainment was provided by the band BOOMERANG giving us lively renditions of many of the well-recognized and well-remembered tunes from years ago. A surprise gift basket was won by new member C. J. Keudell. Everyone enjoyed the change in venue and the fellowship and (in spite of occasional difficulty in talking above the music) camaraderie of the evening. Back to normal routines next week, the first week in August.
