On February 5, our club granted $4,000 to Meals on Wheels for Fort Collins
On February 5, 2025, our Community Grants Committee had the pleasure of presenting a $4,000 check to Meals on Wheels for Fort Collins, represented by Glenda Shayne, Executive Director. The funds will be used to purchase 80 "Blizzard Boxes." Each Blizzard Box contains 8-day's worth of long shelf-life meals requiring no refrigeration, and will be delivered to clients to be used in the event that inclement weather impedes or prevents MoW's ability to make hot meal deliveries to their homes. Meals on Wheels for Fort Collins serves an average of 325 hot meals 5 days a week to primarily homebound older and disabled adults i Fort Collins, Wellington, and Laporte.
