Telling the Story of Community Services
For our Club meeting at the Lincoln Center noon on February 23rd, we welcome Seve Ghose, the Community Services Director for the City of Fort Collins. Martin Limbird will introduce our guest speaker, who will share a bit about his personal background and the value Community Services/Parks and Recreation brings to our community. The value comes in the forms of higher economic activity, raised property values, lower carbon footprint, better health, and wellness for the citizens of the FoCo, and overall quality of life improvements for our residents. In some communities, and under some circumstances the operations of this department in a community actually saves lives. In addition, Seve plans to share how the role of a Community Services department in general works out in actuality here in Fort Collins and will present data on his department’s work in Fort Collins.
