Greeting and Cooking Breakfast at Finally Home Conference
Rotarians greeted families and cooked pancakes for attendees of Finally Home’s Family Strengthening Conference.  Finally Home works to provide foster parents and their families support and training to build healthier homes.  They build resilience in children and skills for parents  through their programs, including their full day Family Strengthening Conference.  Pictured Ann Dunne, Curran Dunne (with pancake batter war paint, David Dunne, not pictured Jyoti Ghule.

Book Trust Event at Harris Elementary
Rotarians met at Harris Bilingual Elementary on Friday, October 25 to read to kindergarteners receiving books from Scholastic Book Club.  Book Trust works with Scholastic to fund the purchase and delivery of books so that all children receive books on delivery day.  Children realize the same joy of receiving books that they picked out even if their situation does not afford them the resources to pay for them.  It was a joy-filled morning and I think the Rotarians enjoyed the experience at least as much as the children did.

Rotarians included Wes Alles, Jordan Boeder, Martin Nelson, Larry Salmen, Bill Moellenhoff, his wife, Gentry Moehllenhoff, David Dunne, Jon Land, Natalie Sundermeier, Janice McAteer, John Trone and Rich Fisher (not pictured).

Two Evening Members Inducted
At the Evening Meeting on October 23rd, new members Gary McDonald and Kylan Fetzer were inducted! Gary was sponsored by David Dunne and Kylan by Riley Spight.

Bart Kingham, a former member of our club and treasurer for eight years, passed on October 7, 2024 after a long journey with dementia.  Bart joined the Rotary Club of Fort Collins in September 2001.  In addition to serving as treasurer, Bart was a member of the STEM committee, 4-way test committee and the budget committee.  He retired from Hewlett Packard as an electronics engineer and operations manager.  His wife Millie made sure he was able to attend noon meetings for a long time after he was no longer able to drive.  A memorial service was held on October 22nd.
