What Rotary Taught Me: Celebrating 20 Years of Rotary
On Wednesday, July 7, Luciana (Luci) Storelli-Castro joins us by Zoom to share her reflections on the impact of the generous scholarships she received from Rotary to study abroad and participate in service projects. Following her introduction, Luci’s will explain how her 20-year association with Rotary (“more than half my life!”) not only has helped pave her educational and professional trajectory, but also how it continues to have influence in Luci’s PhD studies in International Relations. Now serving as an African affairs analyst with the US State Department, our speaker is a newly minted Rotarian in Washington D.C. (Join Zoom meeting) READ MORE...

After 16 months of virtual meetings The Rotary Club of Fort Collins began in-person meetings at the Lincoln Center on Wednesday, June 30. Attending members were quick to say how they looked forward to finally meeting in person. Once nicknamed the 'Downtown' club by our Rotarians our club continues the tradition of meeting at a great downtown meeting location. This year we have returned to an old favorite, The Lincoln Center, where our club met for 34 years from 1975 to 2009.
In July, we will be having a first fellowship coffee, please join us at any time between 7:30am-9:00am at The Cart on Lemay on Tuesday, July 13th. We plan to meet the 2nd Tuesday each month. There is no fixed agenda, just some good coffee and great conversation :) Hope to see you there! John & Marty
It was a wonderful start to the Rotary year with our first meeting at the Lincoln Center, so great to see everyone. Lots of exicting plans for the upcoming months so please review the club calendar often. This Wednesday at noon, Luci Castro will be speaking; I have heard Luci speak in the past; hope you can attend to hear her fascinating story. This week's evening meeting will be held at Lirano’s Wine Bar. Come if you are able to discuss our exciting plans for the new Rotary year.
You may have noticed some design changes to Rotogear. Thanks to the Communications Team and especially Jana who updated the color scheme and format. The goal is to have a weekly newsletter with timely, actionable content, and a monthly communication with broader content highlighting news about Rotarians, their projects and more. We will adjust and adapt as the year proceeds. Finally, our gratitude and thanks to Stacy for years of service as Editor and Publisher of the Rotogear, your service is widely appreciated.
