A Peaceful Transition
Our Club resumes its weekly in-person meetings at noon, at the Lincoln Center, next Wednesday, June 22. And this meeting will be an important one, devoted to the installation of our officers for the coming Rotary year. Our featured speaker will be former two term District Governor Chris Woodruff. He will speak on the theme of “Transitions and Pathways Forward.” Outgoing President John Trone will take this chance to provide a summary of our accomplishments this last term, before he and his family travel internationally. To cap off the meeting, Marty Bachman will give us her comments and visions for the next twelve months of Rotary.
RECAP: Lost Highways: Dispatches from the Shadows of the Rocky Mountains
On June 15, for our last Zoom-only meeting of 2022, Noel Black introduced us to his audio podcast series, “Lost Highways”, documentaries from the History Colorado Center in Denver. In his presentation, Mr. Black talked about the philosophy behind the podcast and used short clips from one of the podcasts (about Alan Berg) to summarize the processes, both technical and journalistic, that he and his team have to go through to produce each episode. Episodes are available on the History Colorado website.
Following the Wednesday meeting at the Lincoln Center, Mr. Alex Studee, Larimer County Solid Waste Mgr., is going to talk to our Science & Engineering discussion group on @ 1:15pm. The topic will be the new, yet to be built, county landfill at the Rawhide Power Plant.

Noon Camera Help Needed
We would like to continue offering a zoom option for all Lincoln Center Meetings, but we will need more volunteers as we move from bi-weekly to weekly meetings in-person. Please contact Larry Salmen or Colin Campbell for more information.
The Board voted on June 15th to approve new fees for the quarter starting July 1st for Noon Members, as we are returning to weekly meetings at the Lincoln Center.
The Rotary Golf Classic, presented by the Rotary Club of Fort Collins, will be on September 23rd at Collindale. It will be a fall fundraiser for our club to benefit Habitat for Humanity. We are currently aiming to sell 18 corporate sponsorships at $1,000 each, which will include a foursome and sponsorship, and we are attempting to limit the number of industries represented to encourage more networking and connection with people outside of your network!
