Peace is a Numbers Game and Rotary has the Winning Hand (Lunch Meeting)
The Rotary Club luncheon meeting at the Lincoln Center at noon on February 7th features Past District Governor Jim Halderman, who will share important insights when he brings his presentation to our club. Following his intro by Bob Meroney, Jim starts this way:

Rotarians love a challenge.
Rotarians embrace impossible tasks.
Rotarians are ready for what’s next.

Years of study, conversations, and connections have produced our speaker’s insights into the power of Rotary and Peace, whether in our clubs, cities, or the world.  Members will learn why 2-4-7-8 are magic numbers for peace and are keys to Rotary’s role in this challenge.  READ MORE...

Mindful Birding - Barb Patterson (Evening Meeting)
Barb Patterson will be our speaker for our Evening meeting at 5:30 Wednesday at Sweetwater Brewery. Barbara is leader of the Mindful Birding group that wrote a Rotary-supported birding booklet for oncology patients. She’s a wonderful person, devoted, and great teacher.

Mindful birding is a powerful practice that combines the joys of birdwatching with the benefits of mindfulness. Exposure to nature is linked to a host of benefits, including improved attention, lower stress, better mood, reduced risk of psychiatric disorders, and even an increase in empathy and cooperation.
