Programs:
Live Practically Well
On Wednesday, November 13, our Club will host the General Manager of The Elizabeth Hotel, Carl Pratt. With so many demands placed on our schedules, Carl will speak to us about the importance of finding the time to live well every day, even when you don't think you have time.  He will discuss strategies to add small habits to enhance your well-being in ways you may not have thought possible. In his role as General Manager, Carl guided The Elizabeth through its forced COVID closing, developing an entirely new staff and leadership team.  These efforts placed the hotel in the top 10 within the Marriott Autograph Collection in just 7 months.  His role as a leader in the hospitality industry has included Hyatt, The Hanover Inn and Canyon Ranch properties.  Carl also oversaw the opening of a continuing care community in the Tucson area which included construction, operations, and sales and marketing, allowing him to use his experience and passion for wellness.  He worked with Dartmouth College to develop a thriving wellness program for faculty and employees.  He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science and is certified by the Center for Creative Leadership. Carl and his wife of 32 years Sue have two adult sons.  He loves spending time with family and getting outdoors.

District Governor Elect Karen Morgan (Evening Meeting)
After visiting the Noon Group just a few weeks ago, Karen will be at the Evening Group to get to know them this time around! Karen Morgan is our distinguished District 5440 Governor Elect, who initially joined Rotary in 1990 as a member of, what else, the Fort Collins Rotary Club.  While in the club, she served as chair of several committees, including International Youth Exchange and Scholarships. As she walks us through the district’s perspective and how it can support our future as a group, we hope to showcase the unique flourishes of the Evening Group to her. Please join in!

History and Current Events Fellowship
The History and Current Events Fellowship will meet this Wednesday after the Noon meeting. Dr. Peter Harris from CSU Political Science Department will inform us and lead discussions next week about the national Election Results.  Peter teaches foreign policy and studied the presidency.  Bring your friends, thoughts, and questions to flavor the discussions.

We have previously been sending invoices on the first day of the quarter also, but to synchronize with Rotary International and District 5440 invoices, we are going to start sending out invoices 1 month before the invoice date. The timing will be the following:
  • You will receive your 1st quarter invoice (dated January 1st) on December 1st.
  • If the invoice is unpaid, you will start to receive email reminders on the 15th of January.
