Holiday Gathering & Music (Lunch - 12/20)
This coming luncheon meeting of Rotary Club of Fort Collins at the Lincoln Center will be a relaxing gathering to enjoy live music from a violin quartet, experience a visit from Santa, and share a year end celebration for all that Rotary has done in 2023. Please plan to attend, bring guests, and wind up our year with festivity!
Last week, instead of a speaker we enjoyed a musical event provided by the Loveland Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. The nine songs were presented a capella and included both Christmas selections as well as other favorites (see full list in last week’s Rotogear). Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all Rotarians!
After our lunch meeting on December 20th, the Investment Fellowship will meet. The topic for today's discussion is the economic importance of Christmas. All are welcome!
The Board has approved for membership Judy Sayre Grim. Judy is a passionate retired educator, having completed a master's degree and doctoral work at the University of Pennsylvania. She retired from CSU, having taught in the School of Education. Her family has a strong history of being active Rotarians. She is active in Fort Collins Reads and is the chair of the Advisory Council for the Osher Lifelong Learning (OLLI) program at CSU."
Rotarians from all four local clubs met December 11th at the Global Village Museum to learn about Rotary Peace Centers from Rotary Foundation trustee Marty Peak Helman. An endowed Peace Fellowship at the Rotary Foundation, in the name of all four clubs, has already sponsored two Peace fellows. President Randy Kurtz and past president Bonnie Titley welcomed Trustee Helman at the event joined by 12 other members of our club.

Jack Devincenzi, senior at Fort Collins High School, received the student-of-the-month award, with his father Damond looking on. Jack was introduced by the principal Dr Jennifer Roth. Congrats!
