This Wednesday before the 4th of July, RCFC is honored to have History Professor Henry Weisser with a very timely topic. According to Henry, ..."We usually are able to view history through different lenses. The American Revolution traditionally has been viewed through a very patriotic lens, particularly in the way we learned about it in school. While this is justifiable considering how this struggle enabled this nation to be created, a patriotic lens tends to overlook some of the key factors that made this war a success."
June 26, Community Grants Chair Kathy Nicol and member Bob Hoel presented the Wellington Library Friends with a $2,000 grant to help revamp Wellington's twice monthly preschool story and craft time. Wellington Library Friends work to enhance the material resources of the Wellington Public Library. The plan is to purchase preschool sized tables, chairs, an interactive flannel board and craft supplies for children attending the themed story time.
