Helping Out - The Rotary Way
This coming Wednesday, May 8th, the luncheon meeting of RCFC at the Lincoln Center focuses on Rotary’s raison d’etre, our outreach to support our communities. After his introduction by Randy Kurtz, fellow Rotarian Tony Sundermeier will talk about new efforts to consolidate, streamline, and clarify our fundraising calendar of events, gift giving opportunities, the 2024-25 Charitable Pledge forms, charitable budget and the process for members. Tony will also review club guidelines and process about fundraising and requests for outside support for new charitable gifts. This will be a great refresher for all and sure to be entertaining as we dive into the inner workings of our Ft. Collins Rotary Fundraising and Charitable Giving. Tony is a CSU alum, and former executive with Intel.  He and his wife, Natalie, also a Rotarian, now make their home in Fort Collins. READ MORE...

RECAP: Accelerating Laser Fusion
For our meeting on May 1, Dr. Carmen S. Menoni, a University Distinguished Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at CSU, summarized for us the broad range of projects in which she and her collaborators at CSU are cooperating with academic and commercial entities around the world, including the commitment to build a state-of-the-art ultra-high-intensity laser facility as an exciting step toward creation of virtually unlimited energy from nuclear fusion.  This facility will operate as the essential part of RISE, a Department of Energy Inertial Fusion Energy Hub.
