SERVING FORT COLLINS FOR 102 YEARS
50 Years of Rotary Exchange Experience

This week, fellow Rotarian Randy Kurtz will share his observations and experiences from 50 years of interactions with Rotary Exchange Students.  His parents hosted Exchange Students when he was a child and that led to his experience as a Rotary Exchange student himself more than 40 years ago.  His wife, Nancy, and he have hosted several exchange students here in Fort Collins.  As a result, Randy can recall many funny stories, life long relationships created, and great experiences shared by his family and exchange students.

Randy, a Rotarian since 2008, is a University of Colorado graduate, and is now a Strategic Account Manager for the Institute of Account Managers.  Father of 3, all of whom are now adults, Randy is a passionate hiker, backpacker and golfer.  He is also a great spokesperson for the Exchange Program, a traditional favorite of our club.  Randy also volunteers many hours each year coordinating the RCFC Merit Badge University program for the Boy Scouts of America.

STEM Grant to St. Joseph's School
During RCFC's first meeting of 2020, a $1049.94 STEM grant was awarded to St. Joseph's School to build and supply a "Cooperation Lab" that will be used by all St. Joseph classes.
Accepting the grant and representing St. Joseph's were Bri Oronoz and Jana Godenkauf.  Presenting the check for RCFC was STEM Committee member Harry Mueller.
New and Returning Member Inductions
January 8, RCFC welcomed our newest member, Kurt Magstadt, sponsored by Chuck Rutenberg.  Immediately after induction Kurt gave his new member talk, and introduced his wife.  Kurt and his family moved to Fort Collins from Florida last August, wanting to experience '4 seasons' and the outdoor life we all take for granted.

Past President Steve Laine also welcomed back returning member Bob McCluskey, sponsored by Bill Moellenhoff.  Welcome Kurt!  Welcome back Bob!
