Energy Projects in the Mountain West - Noon Meeting
We meet at noon via Zoom this Wednesday, April 6th. Dave Stewart will introduce our speaker, who is coming to us by Zoom from Salt Lake City.  Douglas Hunter, the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems (“UAMPS”) will discuss the projects underway by this joint action agency, which was established in 1980.  Our speaker joined UAMPS in December of 1983 and was appointed CEO/GM in 1995. The organization provides a variety of energy services to its 50 members which are community-owned power systems throughout  the seven Intermountain West states of Utah, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, and Wyoming.  The organization currently operates 16 projects, including ownership in conventional and renewable electric generation, investigation of new power resources, power scheduling and transmission services. READ MORE...

DEI Fellowship meeting
April 6 our DEI Fellowship meeting (via Zoom immediately following the regular noon meeting), will spend about 20 minutes on ‘housekeeping’: remembering and doing the impossible, replacing Co Chair Mary Ontiveros; Rotary’s new Code of Conduct; and our Fellowship’s links with Breakfast and Foothills Rotary.  Then Victoria (Baumgart) Junkins, HP Marketing Engineer and former director of Diverse Fort Collins, will lead a discussion on “26 Charts…”, examining the effects of historical racism on our society today, and providing an overview of the book “The Color of Law”.   All are welcome – invite your friends and interested non-Rotarians.
