It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of a distinguished member of our club.  Sheldon (Shelly) Godkin passed January 18, 2022.  Shelly was President of our club in 1987-88 and inducted the first three women into our club during his term.  He was the chair of the CSU Student Athletic Program for 25 years and founded the Cadet of the Month Committee.  He also chaired the Veteran’s Day Salute and instituted the Service Above Self Award in 1987.  He was made an Honorary Member of our club in 2017.

He attended college in Atlanta on a basketball scholarship.  After graduating he joined the Air Force and served as a fighter pilot and leader in the Air Force for 31 years.  He was Commander and Professor of Aerospace Studies of CSU’s AFROTC. Cody O’Malley
The Board has voted to approve the membership of Cody O’Malley. Cody is interested in becoming a Rotarian for a few reason. First, because of the heavy efforts the organization takes towards bettering the community. He is a strong advocate for positive action and that starts with community involvement. Second, he enjoys being around individuals that have a like-minded goal and purpose. Being around those who enjoy helping others makes him feel fulfilled. Cody states, “Lastly, it is a distinguished organization that will lead me to personally bettering myself through the people I meet.”  READ MORE...
