Rotary’s Vocational Team Training grant program - Featuring Uhambo (Lunch Meeting)
On September 20th, at the luncheon meeting of Rotary in the Lincoln Center, we welcome fellow Rotarian Lucinda Kerschensteiner, two of her Uhambo team members from South Africa, Fran and Fatima, and Eion Brown of the Claremont Rotary Club (Cape Town, South Africa). They will fill us in on the work of this non-profit organization. Uhambo works with children with disabilities in South Africa. Lucinda has received a vocational training team (VTT) global grant that allows for bringing the South Africa team to Fort Collins to provide training and to engage in professional development activities. This presentation will feature an update on the work by the South African team while they are in Colorado. READ MORE...
Join us as we clean up our portion of Highway 14. Meet at the Sundance at 8AM this Saturday, September 23. We should be finished no later than 11 AM. The more Rotarians who sign up, the shorter the time it will take to clean up our section. We will have coffee and donuts from LaMars. Bring work gloves, water, sunscreen, closed toe shoes and a hat.
