After serving 24 years in the Air Force as an intelligence officer and retiring from my final assignment at the Pentagon this summer, my family and I have relocated to Fort Collins. I am working remotely for eSimplicity, a digital services company in Maryland. I am eager to connect with the Fort Collins community and serve in new way. Why Fort Collins?
My wife Andrea and I have been married 24 years and have two college-age sons. Our youngest son, told us last fall that he intended to go to college in Colorado. Andrea and I recognized the opportunity to invest in our youngest son and the opportunity to choose where we wanted to live rather than being told by the military where to live. So, I decided to retire after 24 years (14 duty assignments) and we all decided to move to Colorado together.
Why Rotary? I had been a member of Rotary in Rapid City, SD 2007-2008, while we were stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base. My Air Force responsibilities did not allow me to continue my Rotary membership after we left Rapid City. However, I learned from experience the positive impact Rotarians have on the community and the exceptional opportunity for fellowship with service-minded community leaders.
