Kristi Briles is the Executive Director of Respite Care, Inc., a Northern Colorado nonprofit that provides short-term, quality care for children with developmental disabilities and respite for their families. Since stepping into the role in 2022, Kristi has led the organization through a successful $12.3 million capital campaign and the development of Respite Care’s new 20,000-square-foot facility in Timnath, Colorado.
With a background in special education and educational leadership, Kristi previously served as a Special Education teacher, Special Education Administrator, and Adjunct Professor at the University of Northern Colorado. Her passion for children with disabilities and their families has guided her career and leadership style, which centers on relationships, grit, collaboration, and community impact.As Executive Director, Kristi oversees the overall operations of Respite Care, including supporting the Program Team in providing an interactive, safe, and stimulating environment for the children and families served. She also works closely with the Development Team to strengthen relationships with donors and community partners and help secure the resources needed to sustain and grow services.Kristi has lived in Loveland since 2000 and has three adult children. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, golfing, gardening, cooking, swing dancing, and spending time with family and friends.
