Rotary Club of Fort Collins (RCFC) recognized Air Force ROTC Detachment 90 Cadet Zachary Garmire as the RCFC Cadet of the Month for November 2025! Zack is from just North of Seattle, WA and a junior majoring in Business Administration with a 3.6 cumulative GPA.
He is actively involved in Silver Wings, a service-oriented aviation group and the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. Over the last month, he proactively developed a new mechanism for cadets to communicate their accomplishments and leadership development metrics, that would not normally be seen by cadre. He built and launched the survey, generated buy-in from cadets and cadre, and has given cadets who are a little quieter the opportunity to be recognized for their important, hard work and development behind the scenes. Additionally, he took it upon himself to brief the sophomore cadets in preparation for their intense upcoming evaluation and certification semester. Using cadre’s Spring 2025 reports and his previous experience, he set the stage for next semester and introduced the sophomores to the mindset shift and best practices that will make them most successful as the intensity ramps up in preparation for next summer’s field training. Zack was also recently selected for an internship at Boeing next summer. Upon commissioning in 2027, he hopes to be a pilot and fly the F-16 Falcon fighter, same as his uncle. RCFC congratulates Zack and wishes him the very best as he finishes his final year and a half as a Ram!
