The Board of Directors has approved Matthew Johnson for membership in our evening group.
Born and raised in Marquette, Michigan, with experience in the military, engineering and most recently as a truck driver, Matt moved to Fort Collins last November. Matt leveraged his passion for travel and adventure, recognizing a need to facilitate economic development in North Caucasus which has significant undeveloped climbing opportunities. He formed a non-profit named Sustainable Ascents Foundation, partnering with a talented group of fellow climbers. They have expanded their work to northwest Bolivia in the remote Aymara villages. Matt has two daughters and is looking forward to using his energy and the 4-way test as a new Rotary member.
