My name is Martha Apuan.  I am married to Gene Apuan and we have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.  I was born in El Paso, TX and I lived there until I was 21.  We have lived in Texas, Wyoming, Nevada, California, Idaho, Colorado and Japan.  We spent 2 years as missionaries in Japan from 2018-2020.  We enjoyed our time in Japan learning about the culture, traditions and the people.  My primary ministry became teaching English to preschoolers, elementary kids, and adults.  I always dreamed of being a teacher, so I was able to fulfill my dream.

My husband and I are Pastors/Administrators for The Salvation Army in Fort Collins.  My passion is programs for women, seniors, families, and children.  I stay busy with my ministry teaching Sunday school, leading a women’s group in which we do crafts, activities and bible studies, troop program for kids, organizing events and getting to know people.  In my free time I enjoy cooking, reading and I have started gardening since moving to Fort Collins 2 years ago.
I would like to join the Rotary club to be more involved in the community. I am also looking forward to getting to know all the members. I appreciate that the Rotary club utilizes the FOUR-WAY TEST of the things we think, say or do.  I agree and will uphold these guidelines in everything I say or do.  I want my time as a Rotarian to be a positive experience and create good relationships.
