My name is Janice McAteer and I have been a Rotarian with Champaign West Rotary in Champaign, Illinois since 2013. I have recently moved to Fort Collins from Champaign and would like to continue my Rotarian service and fellowship with the Rotary Club of Fort Collins.
I am very excited to currently work for the Better Business Bureau Serving Northern Colorado and Wyoming in the VP/Sales and Business Development role, as I believe in the mission of advancing marketplace trust. I have held a variety of different positions during my professional career including being an elementary educator, nonprofit fundraiser, and private banker for HNW families.
I am married to my best friend, Mike, and together we have four grown adults and two wonderful grandgirls. While we moved from Champaign/Urbana, where I spent the past 23 years, I was raised in Belleville Illinois, just across the river from St. Louis.
In addition to spending time with my family, I enjoy running, playing tennis, hiking, exploring, reading and vacationing among palm trees.
Why I want to continue my Rotary service:
Rotary embodies the way I try to live my life in support of others who need a hand up. I was blessed to have been born into the arms of amazing parents, who provided a solid family foundation with the ethics to work hard, be honest, and treat all people and animals with respect and do my best to offer my blessings back to others.
Envision the ways to live the four-way test:
Use the four questions as guideposts to my everyday life.
