Join us for an interview of Dennis and LJ Houska. Houska Automotive was started 74 years ago by Dennis’ father and Dennis started at age 9 sweeping the floors. Now he is the second generation owner. His wife of 33 years, Noreen, is the head number cruncher and party planner. Their son, LJ, is a third generation VP and General Manager who runs the day-to-day business.
When you drive SE-ward along Riverside you will see the first building where they do car repairs and maintenance. That has spawned a second building for oil and tire operations. All that has spawned a more recent large building where they service and repair heavy-duty trucks, semi truck and trailer vehicles, buses, RVs, etc. and re-process truck tires and manufacture new tire treads for large trucks. The family and business is very active is providing service to the community thru affiliation and support of numerous organizations. Dennis is a bone marrow donor and a leader in related organizations. In 2015, LJ was recognized by the Northern Colorado Business Report as a "40 under 40" best and brightest young professional.
