8-19-26.  Susan Brand introduced Colleen Reyes, recent Rotary Scholarship recipient.  Colleen is currently studying at the University of Northern Colorado to earn a Masters Degree in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Special Education.  Colleen used her Rotary scholarship to pay for two American Sign Language courses this past summer, she demonstrated her new signing skills during our club's noon meeting.  
Along with American Sign Language, Colleen is fluent in English and Spanish.  She has worked full-time for 28+ years at Poudre District Schools in Fort Collins as a Speech Language and Hearing Pathologist for special education students. After graduation, Colleen plans to continue working in the public school setting, offering her specific teaching skills to special-needs hearing-impaired students and their families. Colleen and her two daughters live in Fort Collins.  Our community is fortunate to have teachers with Colleen's dedication to .
