Animal Friends Alliance Co-Founder and Executive Director Sarah Swanty will speak at this week's Evening Meeting at Purpose Brewing. Animal Friends Alliance saves animals in our community and has adopted 45,623 cats and dogs into loving homes.
After graduating from Colorado State University with a degree in Zoology, Sarah co-founded Animal Friends Alliance in 2006 under the name Fort Collins Cat Rescue and Spay/ Neuter Clinic (FCCRSNC).
Sarah has grown the organization tremendously, and now more than 15,000 pets receive services annually through the Alliance. Sarah received her Certified Animal Welfare Administrator (CAWA) designation through the Association of Animal Welfare Advancement in 2013 and has won multiple awards including this year’s BizWest Women of Distinction award in the Nonprofit Category.
Outside of work Sarah spends her time with her three human children, and her two cats and two dogs, Buddy Thunderstruck, Mrs. Weaselbrat, Chili, and Pancake. She also loves reading, running, hiking, fostering pets, and spending time with people she loves.
