Help for our notorious I-25 may be on the way.  According to the July 27 Coloradoan, the federal government will contribute $15M, to add to the local communities $25M to help CDOT add a toll lane to I-25 from Mulberry Street to just south of Highway 34 in Loveland.  This Wednesday, Rotarians will hear more on this potential expansion from the CEO and President of the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce, David May.  May will be introduced by Carl Maxey. 
 
David May is founding chair of the Fix North I-25 Business Alliance and Fix Colorado Roads.  He became president of the Fort Collins Area Chamber April 2003.  He has served as president of chambers of commerce in Independence, Missouri, Sarasota, Florida and Fort Collins, Colorado and as Vice President of Chamber of Commerce Relations for the United States Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC.  Over his career he has been named Chamber Executive of the Year in the states of Missouri, Florida and Colorado.
 
May is a past board member of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives and currently serves on the board of the Western Association of Chamber Executives. He has taught at the U.S. Chamber’s Institutes for Organization Management and is currently an instructor at WACE’s Academy. He is a frequent speaker at professional events on the topic of the future of chambers of commerce.
 
May and his wife Elaine, a clinical laboratory scientist, are the parents of Rebecca, an oncology nurse.
