Kelso Kelly told us that he was born in Richmond VA in 1954, raised on a Black Angus Ranch in Aylett VS with four other siblings. His father was a farmer/country Doctor and mother a nurse. He said that growing up was fun, hunting, fishing, raising cattle and rotating corn and beans. He attended Hargrave Military Academy in Chatam VA before starting pre-Med at William and Mary College...
 

When his sister invited him to Colorado to do some spring skiing, he jumped at the chance, having not traveled much. In such contrast to east coast skiing, he promptly decided to move here and enrolled in the CU College of Business. He jokingly said that upon graduation he put his business degree to good use by joining a rock band and working for American Music. For two years he traveled the country, playing, singing, writing music and managing the band due to his business knowledge. When he was opening a bank account for the band in Denver, he saw that there were job openings and decided to apply. Upon the meeting the requirement that he cut his long hair and exchange is “rock band” outfit for a suit and completing the application, he got an interview and was hired as a teller. Since then and the last 39 years, Kelso has experienced all banking jobs, from teller to CEO and loves the banking business.

Since the 2008 economic meltdown, Kelso has been rebuilding a bank with outlets in Wyoming and Northern Colorado. After getting the bank in good shape, it was sold to ANB and he was offered the position of Regional President here in northern Colorado.with ANB. He has been married to Lisa, a court reporter, for 31 years and has two children, both living in the area. Kelso enjoys playing golf and the guitar.
