Here’s a quick synopsis of the August Board of Director’s meeting.  Full board minutes will be posted on Club Runner when approved.
Membership:  RCFC has inducted 7 new members since July 1.  We now have 161 members, and a backlog of 8 pending applications.  Six of the 8 pending will be Satellite members.
Finances:  The club continues in sound financial condition.  The 2015-16 budget will be reviewed in September, after Peach Festival, New West Fest, and new member pledge forms results are known.
The Finance Committee is working to define the process of proposal, decision and usage of Legacy Fund distributions, including responsibilities of the Club Board, the Charities Board and the Legacy Fund Trustees.
Legacy Fund:  The Legacy Fund Trustees recommend the board take a 5% distribution this year.  The board approved taking the distribution, and will include that amount in the September budget review.  Bob and Joyce Everett have offered a $10,000 grant to STEM for the next three years, if RCFC will match that amount with $2,500 and will assure STEM continues to be funded from the Peach Festival proceeds.  RCFC has also challenged the other three clubs to similarly match the Everett gift to STEM. The board approved a motion thanking Bob and Joyce for their generous gift.
Club Directory:  The board approved printing of a new directory, funded by member ads.  Melanie Chamberlain will head the project, and Bill West will lead the ad sales.
Peach Festival:  The Board approved a motion expressing their support for the 2106 Peach Festival, enabling the Peach Festival Committee to move forward with plans, assuming similar endorsement from the other three clubs.
Interact Club:  The board approved an investigation into forming an Interact Club at Fossil Ridge High School.  Mike Sollenberger will lead the investigation and report back to the board.
Committee Co-Chairs:  The board has asked all committees to develop co-chair positions to both develop backups and to increase club/committee knowledge.  Renee Machovec has volunteered to back up Alan on the billing system.
The next meeting will be 3:30, August 20, at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado, 4745 Wheaton Drive – one block south of Harmony on Wheaton.  All Rotarians are always welcome.
Please contact any board member for details on anything above, or any other question.
Yours in Rotary Service,
