Learning about History and Current Events after regular lunch Rotary meetings opens our eyes and hearts. Current events locally and internationally should stimulate us, and history can inform us about situations before our time of learning.
Together, let us explore and "solve" worldly problems that somehow are not yet completed. We will benefit from members' diverse expertise and informed comments. We can even safely share our ignorance occasionally and welcome opportunity to explore truths at a later date.

Utilizing an existing RCFC grant, the Club is working with Finally Home to provide an outdoor experience for children they serve who otherwise may never have this type of opportunity. As a volunteer component of this grant, our club will serve breakfast to the participants (the children and their chaperones) the morning of the journey prior to heading to Sky Corral Ranch for a fun-filled day in the mountains funded by this grant. We will also be providing them with a small snack for the children's travel time.
The rest of the Rotarians can meet at Timberline Church - First Floor Student Center by East Entrance to interact with the children, chaperones and members of Finally Home before they enjoy their day at Sky Corral |

Hello Rotarians! This sign-up is open. Come help build a Gaga Ball area at the Jack Nicol Cub Scout Camp near Red Feather. Very basic construction skills are needed. If you can follow instructions on where to drive screws and hammer nails, then sign up! We will also have the fun task of demolishing the old gaga ball pit. (Gaga ball is an outdoor game that kids play, kind of like dodge ball mixed with handball in an enclosed "pen") Come check it out! This Volunteer Service Project is part of an approved District Grant to fund a replacement Gaga Ball structure (an outdoor game for kids) at the Jack Nicol Cub Scout Camp near Red Feather Lakes. The old gaga ball structure is falling apart and a new one is needed in order for the camp to keep it's status as a S.A.F.E. camp and for future youth to enjoy. The new gaga ball structure will be dedicated in memory of long-time Rotarian and daughter-in-law of the Camp's namesake, Kathy Nicol. We will need volunteers to help demo the old gaga ball structure and construct the new one from a kit. Lunch will be included for all volunteers. We may also have some Scouts volunteering with us! Estimated number of volunteers needed: 10 to 15+ Estimated time: 6 hours with lunch included Things to bring: Work gloves, closed toe shoes, layers for a variety of weather, long pants, eye protection. We may need some Rotarians to bring circular saws and cordless drills if you have them. Sign up is open! |

Mujeres de Colores will be distributing coats, including the ones our Club collected, on December 21st and invited us to be a part of that event. You will help youth and parents find the right coat for this winter season. Volunteers will assist with setting up and sorting the the coats & toys by ages before families beginning arriving before noon. They will also help in keeping the flow of children moving by helping the children choose their gifts in a reasonable amount of time. This can be challenging but a lot of fun! |
