DESCRIPTION:The City of Fort Collins recently celebrated the 40th Anniversa
 ry of The Farm at Lee Martinez Park.  The “Martinez Farm” is a special
  place that offers hands-on connections to our agricultural heritage.  The
  RCFC has a long and rich history with the development of the Farm.  RCFC 
 members Art Wilcox and Charlie Peterson were instrumental in developing th
 e “Farm Heritage Museum and Art's Tool Shed” at the Farm.  Further\, w
 e have used the Farm to illustrate the Rural – Urban connection and inte
 rdependence\, and the Club has arranged to display farm equipment used in 
 farming in Larimer County.\n\nThe City purchased the Farm in 1985 and spon
 sored several developments in the evolution of the Farm.  Special speaker 
 will be Emily Land\, Director\, Philanthropy & Strategic Partnerships\, Ci
 ty of Fort Collins\, who will share the City’s long-term development pla
 ns for the Farm.  \n
