Aug 27 - Marine Master Sergeant Gene Drozd, Non-Commissioned Officer-In-Charge of Marine Recruiting in Northern Colorado encouraged Donna Chapel whose Marine son, Josh was deploying that day.  Josh also was recently married, so Donna now is a Mother-in-Law

Aug 27 - Marine Master Sergeant Gene Drozd, Non-Commissioned Officer-In-Charge of Marine Recruiting in Northern Colorado came to Rotary to thank our club for the “Glasses For Iraq” program that was initiated by Betty Brown who sent them to Iraq and were distributed by her surgeon son.  He presented her an MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) and said it was the worst one of the lot.

Aug 27 - PPres Taylor Hall invited members to apply for the GSE Leader role for the 2009 five week exchange to northern Chile.  Both Taylor and Tammie Niemann can provide application forms.  He also asked members to identify non-Rotarians between the ages of 25 and 40 that might be interest in being team members

Aug 27 - Former member and current Breakfast Club member, Bill Iverson, talks about the "1st Class Trav'l Bar" (for clothes in car/van, not liquor) that he an his wife has patented.  Ten per cent of any proceeds (gross, not profit) from sales to Rotarians will go to the member's Club.
