Service to Agriculture Awards

Since 2002, the Rotary Club of Ft Collins has recognized an individual or company not directly involved in agricultural production, who nevertheless contributes to the betterment of the rural community, with the "Service to Agriculture" award.

The recipient of the 2008/09 Service to Agriculture Award is the Larimer County Fair Board, represented by   Everitt Van Campen, vice-president. After receiving the Service to Agriculture Award on behalf of the Larimer County Fair Board, Everett Van Campen told us a little about the fair history. He said that the fair is the showcase for the 1000 plus 4-H members in Larimer County. He also said that the Larimer County Fair faces the same problems that all other fairs are facing. That is, how to get the people out to their event.
