Thank you for your interest in supporting our club’s efforts to help those in need. Your contribution to the Fort Collins Rotary Charitable Fund will supplement the donations made by club members and support important projects both locally and in developing countries.

How can I donate?
- Online: Click here to make an online donation using a credit card or electronic check. This secure online donation page is managed by the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado, in conjunction with BlackTie Colorado. You will receive a gift confirmation by email. Please be aware that your credit card statement will indicate a charge to BlackTie Colorado.
- Mail a Check: Simply make your check payable to the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado and write, in the memo line “Fort Collins Rotary Charitable Fund.” Send the check to the following address:

How will my donation be spent?
Donations to the Fort Collins Rotary Charitable Fund support a variety of projects in the community as well as in developing countries. Examples of community projects that will benefit from your support include:
- At-risk youth in Larimer County. Members of our club are devoting their time and donating financial support to the Matthews House and other agencies to assist these agencies in providing counseling and life skills training for the youth of Larimer County who are transitioning from foster homes or youth correction facilities.
- Community Grants. Every year, the Rotary Club of Ft Collins awards grants to several very deserving service organizations in our community to help them in their mission to assist those in need.
- Inspiration Playground is Colorado’s first universally-accessible playground for children of all abilities. The Rotary Club of Fort Collins is working with other Rotary Clubs in the city to support this playground and give children of all abilities the opportunity to participate in playground activities.
- Literacy programs benefiting the youth of Larimer County are supported by our club. Dictionaries are given to every third-grade student in the school district, and other literacy projects are being developed in partnership with the Poudre School District.
- Scholarships for needy Larimer county students pursuing post-secondary education at Colorado State University or Front Range Community College are also supported by our club.
- Merit Badge University is a program conducted by our club every year since 1991. Rotarians teach a variety of classes to assist over 600 area Boy Scouts obtain Merit Badges and advance in their Scouting career.
The Rotary Club of Fort Collins is also very active in projects in developing countries. Your contribution will support a wide variety of health, water and education projects in needy communities in several developing countries, including India, Indonesia and many countries in Central and Latin America and Africa. Examples of international projects that will benefit from your support include:
- Water projects to provide clean, safe drinking water to poor communities
- Community education programs to prevent Dengue hemorrhagic fever.
- Microcredit projects in developing countries to provide seed capital for individuals to start their own small businesses
- Equipping a school for the deaf and dumb with computers and specialized software to help the students with their education
- Providing malaria nets for malaria prevention in poor African rural communities.
- Providing cataract surgery to poor elderly people in India
- Purchasing desks, chairs, books and other essential for schoolchildren
- Supporting dental clinics for indigenous peoples in poor rural communities
- Relief efforts efforts following natural disasters
- Many, MANY other projects!
Can I specify how I want my donation spent?
When you make your donation, you can choose one of three options. You can choose to make an “unrestricted” donation to our general fund, which is used to support a variety of local or international projects. Alternatively, you can choose to restrict its use to “community projects” or to “international projects”.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes! Because the Fort Collins Rotary Charitable Fund is a tax-exempt charity under section 501(c)(3) of the federal tax code, you will receive a gift receipt for tax purposes.
