Robin Steele said that she was a 4th generation Coloradoan. She said that her father was from a cattle ranching family and her mother from a sheep family. Given this background, her parents are still married. Even though she has and is involved in many interests, she said that she would focus on two key aspects of her life, science and math (or STEM subjects) and her athletic pursuits...

On the science side, Robin has a B.S. in Computer Science from Utah State University, a M.S. degree in Computer Science and Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota and an Executive MBA from Northwestern University. She has over 20 years of business and leadership experience in global research and development operation as well as started and run both software and service companies ranging in size from fortune 500 companies to emerging small companies. Even though she has left the corporate world, she is still involved in science as President of Colorado Angel Investors, Partner at 2Talents Venture Management, Lego Robotics Coach, STEM volunteer, etc.

On the athletic side, Robin participated in six sports in high school, played college basketball at Utah State, placed second in her age group at the world Durathlon (run, bike, run again) Long Course World Championships in Switzerland in 1997. She has coached volleyball and basketball in middle and high schools.

Robin transferred to our club from the Foothills club because of our active interest and participation in STEM activities in Fort Collins schools and our active involvement in International Projects. Robin was last year’s chair of the Peach Festival Committee and an active participant in this year’s committee.
