The third Thursday of each month the RCFC board of directors meet.  The next meeting will be 3:30, July 16 at the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado, 4745 Wheaton Drive – one block south of Harmony on Wheaton.  All Rotarians are always welcome.
Here’s a quick synopsis of June’s meeting.  Full board minutes will be posted on Club Runner when approved.

Non-Discrimination Clause:  To meet requirements by granting organizations, the RCFC Charities Board of Directors adopted the following new Non-Discrimination clause.
The Rotary Club of Fort Collins does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, national origin, ethnicity, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital status, physical and mental ability, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected under federal, state, or local law.
Membership Application Form addition:  The board asked the Membership Committee to add two items to our new member application process:
  • Applicant’s Rotary Story – Why they want to join Rotary?
  • An acknowledgement by the applicant they are aware of, and intend to try apply the Rotary 4 Way Test in their personal and professional life.
New Board Member:  With the resignation of Jim Harper from the board, Matt Fries was appointed by the board to fulfill Jim’s remaining term.
Finances:
  • Overall the club is in good shape financially, due to (1) overbilling for meals in Q4 - to be credited in Q1, (2) prudent financial management by the board, and (3) collection of delinquent membership dues.
  • 80 members have not yet turned in an Ask Form.  Historically, for members not turning in an Ask form, the board has automatically continued the member’s previous charitable contributions.  The board elected to continue that practice, and to keep the overall membership cost flat from last year, will add the $120 Dues/Meals reduction to member’s charitable contribution, giving members an additional $120 tax deduction.
  • As of the board meeting, the Charitable Budget is not fully funded for 2015-16.  The Finance Committee will review and finalize the budget before July’s board meeting.
2015-16 Club Organization:  The new Org Chart was reviewed and adopted.  Key change is the addition of a Fellowship and Fund Raising portfolio recognizing the importance of fellowship, and a Club Sustainability and Growth portfolio to provide linkage for the Satellite membership and Legacy Fund.  Details will be given at a future club meeting.  See attached chart.
Please contact any board member for details on anything above, or any other question.
All the Best,
