Coming up with one single person for this recognition can be very challenging. This year, once the nomination was made, we quickly came to a consensus around three people who have consistently “leaned in”, always stepping up to lead nearly anything that needed leading, usually as a team. Please join me in honoring the Las Tres Amigas - Judy Boggs, Susie Ewing and Sue Wagner...

The saying is, “If you want a task done, give it to a busy person”. Or, “If you want results, give it to a woman”. Individually, or more often as a team, Las Tres Amigas have led nearly all RCFC fund raising events for at least the last 10 years. They have organized and led the

• The New West Fest, beer border patrol
• The Rotary Garage Sale,
• The Wine Baskets organization and raffle
• Christmas Wreath sales
• The book sale sales, and
• The Museum of Science and Discovery fund raiser They’ve also Chaired and/or lead most of our fellowship events, including
• The Christmas Parties,
• The summer picnics,
• The Christmas pot lucks, and
• Various club assemblies, 5th Wednesday Fellowship programs, Changing of the Guard skits, and anything that has ‘party’ in the name.

All three have also been active members in the Fellowship committee and the Membership Committee, and they have supported each other in various other individual responsibilities.

As Judy said recently, “It is because of Rotary that a strong and lasting friendship has developed among the three of us. It has been one of life's greatest gifts!”
