Anthony Cisneros - Spirit of Rotary Award Honoree 2013-2014

Ada Chen, in place of Jung-Hai Chen,presented this year's Spirit Award Winner to Anthony Cisneros. This year’s recipient of the Spirit of Rotary award has a passion for philanthropy and has been involved in a wide range of community activities for years, focusing on helping nonprofit organizations pursue sustainable missions. He currently serves as chair of the board the Northern Colorado Chapter of the American Red Cross, and volunteers with Junior Achievement, United Way, FoCo Café, Warriors for Christ, and numerous other faith based and youth organizations…while raising 11 children with his wife, Carmen...

Upon joining the Rotary Club of Fort Collins a little more than 6 months ago, he made an immediate impact by offering his fajita wagon to the STARS group to serve over 250 meals for those impacted by the September floods.

He also immediately displayed his Rotary spirit by attending the fall district assembly, and by enrolling in the Rotary Leadership Institute. He has admitted to several fellow Rotarians that, in his words, “I’ve been a Rotarian for 20 years….I just didn’t know it.” Please help me in congratulating the 2013-2014 recipient of the “Spirit of Rotary” award, Anthony Cisneros.
